Benefits of Dri-Ply

Kiln drying is a mechanical means of extracting the excess water from treated plywood. There are many positive reasons to kiln dry material:

  • Easy installation. The kiln drying process makes the plywood lighter which makes it quicker and easier to install.

  • Resists mold and mildew. The kiln drying process removes the moisture, effectively preventing mold growth.

  • Stays straight which minimizes warping and twisting.

Currently, Wayne’s Lumber is the only vendor in Hawaii carrying a significant amount of kiln dried treated plywood products.
